Hong Kong Three(3) eSIM


Hong Kong mobile carrier 3 has a low cost annual data plan worth considering if you have eSIM capable phone.

For people with low data usage, 3 has a very good and cheap plan for Canadians.

The plan details are as follows:

After completing the purchase of the plan, Hong Kong Three will email you the eSIM QR code for you to use. Preferably using a no FX credit card!

In the case of eSIM capable iPhone, after you activate the secondary line, turn Data Roaming ON, it will be working right away: roaming on Rogers network.



Due to Apple App Store geo restrictions, iPhone users are unable to download HK Three app. But checking the data usage online is available. And before you are using up the data, you will be able to  top up the same plan again.


The one caveat worth mentioning is the long latency due to the re routing of traffic to HK. Mobile speed is okay, averaging 20-50Mbps.

Overall, it's a cheap plan with usable speed!
