Global Hotel Collection program offered by HSBC jade service

 When booking travel through HSBC jade service, you will have access to the Global Hotel Collection program. The program offers good cancellation policy, room upgrade if available, daily free breakfast for two people and 50usd to 100 usd hotel credits per 2 night stay.

Recently we used the program to book a stay at Shangri-La Sydney, Australia. Room view was fantastic. Dinning credit was used at its restaurant. The breakfast was great too. It's very similar to Amex FHR program in my opinion.

 If you have an iPhone, you can add digital Suica or Pasmo card to your iPhone or Apple Watch as a transit card. Unfortunately, Android phones, unless bought in Japan, won't work. If you have Canadian HSBC travel credit card, loading money to Suica or Pasmo card by HSBC credit card using Apple Pay counts as travel expenses, hence there is a 3% cash back.  Adding Suica or Pasmo to your iPhone is easy, in your iPhone wallet, touch plus sign on the right top corner, choosing Transit card, scrolling down to Japan, choose Suica or Pasmo, then agree the terms and add money using Apple Pay. Then you are all good to go!
