Tello, a low cost US phone number to keep

Tello mobile is a US MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) that uses the T-Mobile network to provide talk, text and data. For people have US credit cards or banking needs, a US cell number is important for 2FA or communications. US VOIP number such as google voice generally doesn't  work.

Last month, Tello started to support ESIM so activation of Tello service outside of US is possible.

Advantages of Tello service:

Esim and low cost: plans starting from 5usd and you can switch plan any time

Prepaid plan: no contract, no credit check

Wifi Calling and free long distance calls to over 60+ countries, if you sign up for this 100 minutes talk plan, you can at least use it while in Canada via wifi calling.

Disadvantages:

Even though the plan starting from 5USD/month, there are extra fees to be added, which varies depending on the state the number is located.

5G is only available for Android phones
